# linkedin-stats: an agent skill for your own LinkedIn analytics

Your full post history, likes, comments, reposts, impressions, and who engages, pulled from
**your own logged-in LinkedIn** by an AI agent driving Chrome, then turned into a private
dashboard. Everything stays on your machine: no servers, no API keys, no third parties.

## What you need
- Claude Code (or any agent that supports `SKILL.md` skills) with the **Claude in Chrome** extension
- Chrome logged in to LinkedIn
- Node 18+

## Install
```bash
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cd ~/.claude/skills
curl -fsSLO https://hammantlabs.com/skills/linkedin-stats.zip && unzip linkedin-stats.zip && rm linkedin-stats.zip
```
Then ask your agent: **"analyse my LinkedIn"**. It follows `linkedin-stats/SKILL.md`.

Try the dashboard first with made-up data: `cd ~/.claude/skills/linkedin-stats && npm run demo`, then open `dashboard.html`.

## How it works
The agent opens your LinkedIn activity page, finds the internal endpoint the page itself uses,
and replays it **inside the page** so your cookies never leave the browser. Results are saved to
`data/*.json` and `npm run build` makes the dashboard. A full history can take an hour or two at
a deliberately slow rate.

## Please read
- **LinkedIn's terms.** LinkedIn's User Agreement restricts automated access and scraping. This reads
  only your own account, slowly, from your own browser, but you use it at your own risk.
- **Other people's data.** Reactor and commenter lists hold other people's names and job titles.
  Keep `data/` private. Don't publish, share or sell it.
- **It can break.** It relies on LinkedIn internals that change without notice. It last worked on
  22 September 2026.
